Eligibility Criterion and Remuneration
 

Teachers will be recruited according to the following criterion under GEPIK (Gyeonggi province English Program in Korea) and EPIK (English Program in Korea):

Our requirement lies in both Metropolitan cities and Provinces. If teachers are placed in rural/fishing/remote areas, they will be entitled to get paid another 200,000 won ($201) as rural allowance along with provincial allowance. However the amount of provincial pay may vary according to special rural allowance and multiple school teaching allowance.

EPIK eligibility criterion and remuneration

The remuneration will vary from US$ 1500 to US$ 2600 depending on education background, teaching experience.

Under normal situation teachers with

Degree + TESOL will earn - US$ 1500 - 1600 (appox)

Degree + TESOL + 1 yr experience – US $ 1800-1900(appox)

Degree + TESOL + 2 yr experience – US $ 2000(appox)

Masters Degree + TESOL + 1/2 yr experience – US $ 2600(appox)

The remuneration also vary from city to towns!

Level 1+ and Level 2+ positions are only for teachers who are currently teaching in Korea within the same Provincial Office of Education. Other positions are open to teachers from outside South Korea.
