Accommodation during the TESOL
training in Chiang Mai

Your
accommodation will be available from 12 noon on 24th
January 2009. This will help you acclimatize to a new
surrounding and the local Thai culture.
American TESOL Institute provides well-equipped
accommodation for teacher trainees during the training,
free of cost. (Double Occupancy)
Accommodation in Chiang Mai for the Special Korean
project will be at a reputed Resort Hotel chain. The
private rooms are air-conditioned with attached bathroom
and balcony. Each room has Television with International
channels, hot and cold water, Refrigerator. Bed sheet
and towels will be changed once in 5 days.
The hotel itself has restaurant, lounge area with
television, plus laundry and cleaning services.
The resort-hotel is centrally located and is 50 meters
from Chiang Mai University. Food, shopping, Spa, Coffee
shops, Internet cafes are within 100 meters of the
resort. The nearby locations offer excellent restaurants
and some great tourist attraction!
Accommodation after TESOL program till you fly out to
Korea can will be arranged in the same resort hotel at
extra charge, however you may choose to stay in other
locations / hotels / accommodations at your own cost
before you fly out to Korea on or before 22nd February
2009.

We aim to provide our teachers
with the best possible accommodations.
Our teachers who will be teaching in South Korea will be
provided with furnished single occupancy Housing with all
modern day amenities as part of their remuneration. The
accommodation will be arranged and provided by the school to
their teachers. A single teacher will be provided with a
one-room apartment on or off campus, and a married teacher
with dependents will be provided with a residence with at
least two bedrooms. All accommodations will be within easy
walking distance to the school or near transport facilities
as mentioned by the employee.
Accommodations that are arranged by the schools will be
provided free of charge throughout the teaching contract.
Accommodations will vary from school to school and city to
city. Most of the schools will provide their teachers with
the paid single occupancy accommodation. Employer may
provide temporary housing until the appropriate housing for
Employee becomes available. If under any unavoidable
circumstances the school is unable to arrange for the
housing, in that case teachers are entitled to receive a
monthly rent subsidy of KRW 300,000 (USD $300).
Employee shall not request or demand any other appliances or
furniture than those provided by Employer. Employee shall
take the responsibility for the maintenance and repair for
the appliances and furniture provided by Employer.
The apartments are very well furnished with all modern day
amenities to make your stay very comfortable. Each room is
amazing, spectacular in size offering startling views of the
city.
All accommodations will include the following amenities:
• A bed (Single or Queen Size)
• Each room with lavish attach bathroom, clean, running hot
and cold water.
• Sofa for 2-3
• Electric fan
• A wardrobe
• Refrigerator
• Telephone
• Electric Iron
• Kitchen table for 2 along with required utensils
• A gas stove
• Washing machine
• Vacuum cleaner
• Television
• Microwave
• All communication facility
• All travel information Transfer, Air ticket.
Some accommodations may not include some of the above
mentioned amenities if the space does not permit or if they
are not otherwise preinstalled. (In rare case)
Maintenance fees, utilities (gas, electricity, water), and
other monthly expenses will be the responsibility of the
teacher.
Our teachers will be
provided for the first assignment term only, with 300,000
won (approx US $300) as settlement allowance within the
first two weeks (14 calendar days) of working at the school.
